A New Fashion + Beauty Experience Launches in Northern Virginia
Sterling, VA – Award-winning fashion designer and beauty entrepreneur Samira is proud to announce the launch of sbc BEAUTIQUE, a curated experience ‘where beauty and style meet’ inside her award-winning permanent makeup studio Samira Brow Couture. The Grand Opening event will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 1 PM – 5 PM in Sterling, Virginia.
A Trailblazer in Fashion & Beauty
A visionary in beauty and fashion, Samira has built a career blending artistry with business, founding several innovative brands for over two decades. In 2001, she created an evening wear brand where one of her designs was featured in a blockbuster film. She also created one of NYC’s first upscale maternity fashion labels and a ready-to-wear brand inspired by the embroideries of the Silk Road. Samira’s work has been featured in major media outlets, national publications and runway shows, and she continues to study fashion, art and textile history inspired by culture and is currently working on an illustrated costume history book.
Samira has worked as a fashion director for a magazine, a costume designer in Los Angeles, and in multicultural media and event management. In 2012, she created the concept for Flow Blow Dry + Beauty Bar—the first blow-dry bar in the DMV—and became a microblading pioneer in Northern Virginia launching Samira Brow Couture in 2016. She also created Rumi Rose, a Silk Road inspired online boutique featuring fashion, accessories and a best-selling Argan Oil Beauty Serum. With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, she has studied fashion at the Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City and holds multiple certifications in permanent makeup and makeup artistry.
Samira is also a business coach and mentor, having helped dozens of artists, stylists, and creatives launch and grow their own businesses. “I love helping others follow their passions and dreams through entrepreneurship,” she shares. Additionally, she is passionate about fashion sustainability, having been an avid vintage, consignment, and resale shopper for over two decades, which inspired her to bring a unique shopping experience to sbc BEAUTIQUE.
Beyond business, Samira is committed to humanitarian causes, supporting women entrepreneurs in disadvantaged regions like Afghanistan. She is a mom of 3, a 15-year-old daughter and 10 year-old twin boys.
Meet the Women Behind sbc BEAUTIQUE
Joining Samira in this collective are two talented women who share a passion for style and beauty:
• Alina, a jewelry designer and former restaurant chef, is the artist behind Alina Collection, one-of-a-kind, reimagined jewelry collections inspired by vintage glamour, Art Deco, lush floral gardens, and faraway places. Her keen eye for detail and appreciation for fine craftsmanship make her pieces a true work of art. Alina is also a permanent jewelry artist with sbc LINKS and has created the concept for a charm & stack bar inside the studio. Alina has a passion for repurposed interior design, is a mom of 3 and is an avid gardener.
• Lisa, a fashion and beauty executive with years of experience working for brands like Nordstrom and Jack Black, has an expert understanding of fashion and styling. As the curator behind Zoe Designer Resale, she has spent the past 15+ years sourcing designer and upscale resale pieces offering clients access to authentic designer fashion at exceptional value. Lisa enjoys studying fashion trends, shopping and is is a mom to her furry baby Charlie.
