Samira is an award-winning designer, ARTIST, entrepreneur whoSE WORK HAS TRANSFORMED LIVES aND EMPOWERED WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD.

Since launching Samira Brow Couture in April 2016, Samira has performed thousands of microblading procedures in the Washington DC metro area. She also loves connecting with her clients, building relationships and making them feel beautiful inside and out, because having brows isn’t just about how we look, it affects how we feel on the inside.

Samira is a Virginia State Board licensed, certified + insured permanent makeup artist having received her permanent makeup training/certification from the Esthetics Institute in early 2016. She has traveled to London, Miami, Los Angeles + Las Vegas to receive training by top permanent makeup artists including Masters Dovile Zilinskaite, Nicole Hahn, Jelena Meier (Branko Babic's PhiAcademy), Lindsey Ta (Microblading LA) + Brows by Linnie. Samira believes in investing in quality education and training before offering any service or business.

Samira is a master microblading artist. She was the first certified Phibrows ‘Royal Artist’ in the area and one of the first artists to be certified by Phibrows in the Washington D.C. metro area in 2016. In October 2017, she was a Phibrows Microblading co-trainer for multiple courses in Washington D.C. In January 2018, Samira's work was featured on the international famous beauty blogger HUDA Beauty.  She is an in-demand brow artist in the area, with her work being recognized by top microblading Masters in the world.  Today, Samira holds over 15 certifications in permanent makeup and offers microblading, combo (hybrid of microblading/shading), powder brows and upper eyeliner enhancement. She also holds certifications in threading and makeup artisty (Graham Webb).

Samira has created and launched several small business start-ups and projects across the fashion, beauty, media and entertainment industries and has over 20 years of experience in design, illustration, marketing/branding/pr, multi-media production, e-commerce, social media & content creation.  Samira's passion for entrepreneurship fashion, beauty and design started as a girl when she started her first business at age 5 (selling handmade flower bouquets door-to-door). She started a babysitting business at age 12 and started her first job at 14. A self motivator with a motto of “do, not talk”, she became a self taught artist, illustrated faces and fashion, poured over fashion magazines and studied fashion history. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing, where she took art classes and produced fashion shows.  Samira trained at Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) in New York City,  then launched two award-nominated fashion labels which were worn by women worldwide and received international media recognition with collections shown in NYC and D.C. Fashion Week. She spent over 10 years in NYC designing before moving back to the D.C. area in 2013 where she founded two award-winning first of its kind blow dry + beauty bars, two brow bars, and built a team of over 100 stylists, brow artists and makeup artists over 7 years.

Despite these achievements, Samira has gone through many life challenges and obstacles that didn’t stop her from following her dreams. She tries to help others find their inner strength and confidence not only through beauty services and products she provides, but through mentorship. She encourages others follow their dreams of becoming business owners and change-makers. Charity and humanitarian work is also very important to Samira, both at the local/community and international level. For the past 10+ years, she has supported dozens of Northern VA local charities, schools and non-profits through her businesses, including cancer, alopecia, domestic violence shelters and other causes or events. On an international level, she supports women and children in economically disadvantaged or war torn areas. She also loves vintage fashion, studying fashion history and its impact on culture in different societies, with a special focus on the Silk Road. Her goal is to combine her experiences and knowledge and educate others through classes and courses. 

Samira lives in the DC metro area and is a wife, mom to three children, including a daughter and twin boys.
